Solemn Tears
12x24 Framed Limited Edition
edition of 250
$150

During the winter of 1838-39 sixteen thousand Cherokees were moved overland to Indian Territory. During the Removal over 4,000 Cherokees died. With solemn determination the people walked the nearly 900 miles in the harsh winter with little provisions and not nearly enough blankets or clothing to protect them.  There is no reflection of the people in the water because they are the spirits of those lost on the Trail of Tears.

Printed with archival inks, on archival paper this print will last over one hundred years.
