During the winter of 1838-39 sixteen thousand Cherokees were rounded up and forced overland to Indian Territory on the Trail of Tears. During the Removal over 4,000 Cherokees died. Through all the suffering and hardships of the Trail of Tears,  the Cherokee People kept the Heart of the Eagle and the strength of the Cherokee Nation prevailed.

"Heart of the Eagle" fine art prints has been personally inspected, numbered and signed by the artist.  The edition is 250, with 25 artist proofs.
